Why Every Rescue Matters: Sam’s Story
One day, our volunteer team found a tiny orange tabby alone on the street, completely unable to walk. An X-ray revealed the heart breaking cause: a severely displaced femur fracture (the thigh bone).
The bone hadn't just cracked; the two ends had shifted entirely away from each other, leaving his leg without any structural support. Injuries like this are most commonly the result of high-impact trauma, such as being struck by a vehicle or surviving a fall from a great height.
They rushed him to Animal Mama Veterinary Hospital & Emergency, where the veterinary staff quickly assessed his injury and provided the appropriate treatment he needed to recover.
During his recovery, our volunteers visited him every day, giving him love and support.
Before long, Sam was back on his feet — and a loving family was ready to welcome him home.
On his first day in his new home, Sam settled in calmly — exploring every corner, and finding his favourite spot to nap.
From a struggling stray to a beloved family member — Sam's story reminds us why every rescue matters.
But Sam isn’t the only one. Every day, more cats are found injured and alone, waiting for their second chance. Your support provides the life-saving surgery and rehabilitation they desperately need.🐱
